Beauty and the Beach

Inspired by the scenic coastline of the northern beaches, we have created a fresh, light and contemporary beach home with a relaxed coastal aesthetic.

Working collaboratively with the clients and architect we transformed this property into a welcoming holiday home perfectly suited to relaxed family vacations beside beautiful Freshwater Beach in Sydney.

We embraced this brief, creating a practical and understated design with a simple and integrated indoor-outdoor living space and a light, contemporary feel incorporating tonal textures, clean lines and pops of indigo.

To accommodate the relaxed holiday living, we worked to reconfigure the floorplan and open up the kitchen, incorporate a third bathroom, add a rumpus room and include ample storage for holidaying families.

The mixture of tones and textures creates a warm and welcoming aesthetic. The light oak joinery compliments the timber flooring throughout, while the textured marmorino finish on the fireplace and the art pieces scattered throughout, most notably the specially commissioned Alison Coates Sculpture and the Eduardo Santos painting, create depth and character.

The interior design is completed by a stunning terrace with a reflection pond, day bed area, BBQ area, dining area and casual seating – all overlooking beautiful Freshwater Beach. Perfect for a relaxed coastal retreat.
