The culmination of a three-year journey, where timeless elegance meets opulent living set amongst the countryside of Theresa Park, Sydney. Our brief from our client was to craft a forever home that transcends trends, embodying grand proportions and where every detail tells a story and invites you to live and experience life’s luxuries.
We embarked on this journey with a vision to seamlessly blend rural living resistance with aesthetic grandeur.
Our design team faced the challenge of balancing grandeur with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. Our approach was injecting bold and vibrant furnishings against the classic architectural details and luxury materials infused a modern twist that resonates with our client’s lifestyle.
Distinct zones within the house, including the impressive 'Great Room' with its vaulted ceilings and open mezzanine second floor, the luxurious 'resort suite' with a double-story walk-in wardrobe and marble staircase, and the grand entry with its cascading marble-clad staircase, were meticulously designed by us to create a harmonious and purposeful environment.
One of our primary challenges was integrating warm, intimate spaces within the immense volume and sky-high ceilings of the home. Through a considered furniture and lighting design collaboration with LA Lounge, we achieved a seamless connection between spaces, ensuring perfect scale alignment while introducing a human touch to the immense spaces and monochromatic interior design palette.
Carefully curated soft furnishings, art, and textiles to address the audible echoing within the open plan living areas, creating demarcation and warmth. Inspired by the layout of luxe hotel lobbies, we designed a flexible central gathering place that fosters intimacy yet can adapt to larger gatherings with family and friends.
Layered coffee tables, oversized linen modular sofas, and armchairs in soft, rounded shapes invite relaxation and conversation, while textural layers of aged brass, marble, charred timber, and lush velvets create a mood-appropriate ambiance throughout the home.
The result? A sophisticated, functional, and harmonious dwelling that reflects the essence of the homeowners' vision for their abode—a sanctuary of warmth, intimacy, and enduring beauty. Welcome to a home where every detail tells a story of timeless elegance and contemporary luxury.
